In 2007, in consultation with the Global Alliance for Vaccines and Immunization (GAVI), the Sustainable Immunization Financing Program selected 15 initial countries in which to concentrate its efforts. Over the next five years, the program is collaborating with governments, civil society organizations, and businesses within each country to identify sustainable financing mechanisms for national immunization systems.
