Policy Associate, Global Network for Neglected Tropical Diseases

Position Summary:

The Policy Associate will coordinate efforts to advance the Global Network’s key messages and policy recommendations to members of Congress and their staff, members of the Executive Branch and government agencies, members of the global health policy community at large, and to strengthen bilateral engagement efforts in Germany and the UK in particular.  The Policy Associate will work to ensure that NTDs are increasingly understood by all aforementioned parties as a key global health priority.  Close coordination with all facets of the organization and with partners is required.  Impeccable verbal and written communication skills, strong attention to detail, project coordination skills, a working knowledge of the legislative process and an entrepreneurial spirit are required for the position.

The Sabin Vaccine Institute (Sabin) is seeking a consultant to fill a full-time Advocacy and Communications (A/C) Officer position in its Global Network for Neglected Tropical Diseases (Global Network) program.  The A/C Officer will serve as the primary representative of the Global Network in India and lead country advocacy and communications activities on neglected tropical diseases (NTDs).  The primary purpose of these activities is to increase the political commitment, public awareness and resources necessary to achieve NTD control and elimination in India.

Position Summary:

The Sabin Vaccine Institute (Sabin) is seeking a consultant to fill a full-time Advocacy Officer position in its Global Network for Neglected Tropical Diseases (Global Network) program. The Advocacy Officer will serve as the primary representative of the Global Network in Nigeria and lead country advocacy activities on neglected tropical diseases (NTDs). The primary purpose of these activities is to increase the political commitment, public awareness and resources necessary to achieve NTD control and elimination in Nigeria.

The successful candidate for this new, independent contractor position will be based in Abuja, Nigeria and liaise with Global Network staff based in Washington, DC.  The Advocacy Officer will report frequently to Sabin, both informally and formally. Travel within Nigeria will be required. The Advocacy Officer will be contracted for an initial one year term, with the possibility of renewal for up to three years.

Manager, Quality Assurance, Vaccine Development

Position Summary:

The Manager, Quality Assurance will be responsible for establishing, implementing and ensuring the quality assurances, and interfacing with the regulatory requirements in our vaccine development initiatives.

This position will oversee the Quality Assurance team’s mission, ensuring that vaccines developed are of high quality and all related materials, processes and personnel comply with the requirements of relevant regulatory authorities.  The Quality Assurance team may also play an advisory role for non-regulated research studies that may support downstream regulated vaccine development.
