Hotez has been selected as an Innovative Presenter at the Partnering for Cures conference, which is taking place this November at the Grand Hyatt hotel in New York City. In its third year, the Partnering for Cures meeting brings together leaders from all sectors in medical research with the express purpose of fostering collaboration to address some of the most pressing medical challenges. The meeting is convened by FasterCures, the Washington, DC-based center of the Milken Institute. The END7 Campaign is dedicated to building awareness of diseases that infect more than one billion people worldwide
WASHINGTON, DC —January 10, 2012 – Launched today, the END7 campaign is dedicated to eliminating seven major neglected tropical diseases (NTDs) as a public health threat to poor communities by the end of 2020.
NTDs infect one in six people worldwide, including 500 million children, and carry a higher health burden than malaria and tuberculosis.

The Global Network for Neglected Tropical Diseases is celebrating the launch of END7, a new campaign in the fight against neglected tropical diseases (NTDs). They will be hosting an evening reception at the American Society for Tropical Medicine and Hygiene's (ASTMH) annual conference in Philadelphia on December 5, 2011. The event will be hosted by Dr. Peter Hotez, Sabin president and outgoing president of ASTMH, and the Global Network's managing director, Dr. Neeraj Mistry.
