Breakthrough for Hookworm Vaccine Development

In partnership with the Fraunhofer Center for Molecular Biotechnology and the Walter Reid Army Institute for Research, the Sabin Vaccine Institute has successfully expressed the hookworm-derived antigen Na-APR-1. The production of the antigen represents an important step towards developing a human hookworm vaccine candidate.
