Supporting the Global Vaccine Action Plan

Vaccination is among the greatest public health achievements of the 20th century, banishing feared diseases from the lives of those fortunate enough to be immunized. But 1.5 million children continue to die each year from vaccine-preventable diseases.

The Global Vaccine Action Plan

The Global Vaccine Action Plan (GVAP) is a framework to end that inequity and extend the benefits of vaccination to everyone, regardless of where they are born.

Sabin is happy to announce the arrival of our 2012 Annual Report, featuring highlights from our three programs – Vaccine Advocacy and Education, The Sabin Product Development Partnership, and the Global Network for Neglected Tropical Diseases.

Special Projects

Sabin works with partners around the world, including the World Health Organization (WHO), the Pan American Health Organization (PAHO), Fundação Oswaldo Cruz (FIOCRUZ) and the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, to convene symposiums that have brought together more than 2,400 of the world’s global health stakeholders to work on advancing vaccination as a cost-effective weapon in public health.

Sabin is dedicated to reducing the burden and impact of infectious diseases through the use of new and underutilized vaccines.
