How to Nominate Your Distinguished Colleague
In order to nominate your colleague for the Gold Medal Award, provide a one-page explanation of the nominee’s most important research contributions and why you believe it is particularly critical to the field of vaccinology or a complementary field. Please submit your nomination no later than Tuesday, December 8, 2009 to the following address:
Albert B. Sabin Gold Medal Award
c/o Sabin Vaccine Institute
2000 Pennsylvania Avenue, NW, Suite 7100

Nominations may also be submitted via email to: goldmedal@sabin.org.
You are welcome to submit more than one nomination; however, the Gold Medal Award will be presented to one individual or a team of two individuals. Teams or groups of more than two are not eligible for nomination. Candidates should be scientists, not philanthropists. Candidate nominations from prior years are not considered in subsequent years; therefore, if you would like to nominate a past candidate you must resubmit a nomination for consideration for the 2010 Gold Medal Award.
Nominations are submitted in strict confidence and will be reviewed by a committee comprised of past Gold Medal Award recipients. The committee is chaired by Gold Medal Award recipient Maj. Gen. Philip K. Russell, MD.
