Three case studies, prepared for the Sabin European Workshop on Immunization Legislation, examine how different European countries strengthened their legal frameworks for immunization. The case studies focus on vaccine procurement, financial provisions, and provisions to increase vaccine uptake, using examples from Finland, Latvia, and the United Kingdom; countries with high coverage levels, well-financed programs, and relevant legal frameworks. These were selected based on the needs of Sabin's European partner countries and the potential for these provisions to increase financial sustainability of immunization programs.
