Nombreux pays avec lesquels le Programme SIF collabore ont décidé de rendre plus financièrement viable leurs programmes de vaccination par la législation. Certains de ces textes comprend une ligne budgétaire dédiée à la vaccination ou une répartition des sources de financement, tandis que d’autres abordent plus généralement ce concept.

In the Democratic Republic of Congo’s southwestern city of Matadi, a review of the country’s Comprehensive Multi-Year Plan (cMYP) for immunization for 2011-2015 took place from August 20-25.

During June-July, Sabin’s Sustainable Immunization Financing Program is organizing a series of legislative workshops that will take place both at sub-regional (country clusters), national and subnational levels. Eleven SIF countries are participating.

7 Feb Kampala, Uganda - Ten members of parliament (MPs) from the Ugandan National Assembly met today for a Sabin-sponsored briefing on the country's immunization financing. Following a presentation by Sabin Senior Program Officer Diana Kizza Mugenzi, participants discussed advocacy and legislative strategies and agreed to form a core group that will create a parliamentary immunization forum. The MPs will assess immunization program performance in their home districts.

A key message in our Sustainable Immunization Financing (SIF) Program work is that countries need to reduce their dependencies by appropriating their routine immunization programs.
