Started in 2009, World Pneumonia Day was launched by a broad coalition of public and nonprofit organizations—including the Sabin Vaccine Institute andPACE—to mobilize efforts to fight a neglected disease that kills more than 2 million children under age five every year. In the last two years, PACE and other World Pneumonia Day coalition members have helped to make November 12 a truly global day. See the World Pneumonia Day event page to read more about how PACE got involved last year in events around the world.
