New Resolution Commends Sabin on Our 20th Anniversary
Since our founding in 1993, the Sabin Vaccine Institute (Sabin) has been at the forefront of efforts to control, treat and eliminate vaccine-preventable and neglected tropical diseases by developing new vaccines, advocating the use of existing vaccines and promoting increased access to affordable medical treatments. This year marks our 20th anniversary and gives us reason to celebrate our success in advancing this mission.
In recognition of this milestone, Representative Al Green (D-TX) recently introduced a resolution honoring Sabin, along with partners at Texas Children’s Hospital and Baylor College of Medicine, for our efforts to reduce needless suffering caused by vaccine-preventable and neglected tropical diseases.
The resolution has 26 co-sponsors, to date, and has been referred to the House Committee on Energy and Commerce.
It is a great honor to receive bipartisan support and recognition from the U.S. House of Representatives, and we are thankful for those members who continue to champion causes affecting so many people around the world.
