The Fifth Regional Pneumococcal Symposium was held 5-6 March, 2013 in São Paulo, Brazil. It broght together 160 interested stakeholders from 26 countries to discuss updates on epidemiological and economic data in order to inform public health agendas related to prevention of pneumococcal disease in older children and adults in Latin America and the Caribbean.
