From 11-13 June, 2014, over 30 experts in vaccinology, vaccine outcomes research, dengue epidemiology, and diagnostics gathered in Washington, DC. The workshop was co-hosted by the Sabin Vaccine Institute, the Pan American Health Organization (PAHO) and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), it was held at the PAHO Headquarters.
The objective of the workshop was to discuss the development of principles for use in evaluation and implementation of studies in dengue endemic areas to determine the effectiveness of dengue vaccines previously shown to have acceptable safety and efficacy in Phase III clinical trials.
