A new study in the November 7th issue of The New England Journal of Medicine shows no association between the MMR vaccine and autism. This study adds significant weight to the extensive body of evidence supporting the safety of the MMR vaccine.
"This important study is yet another demonstration of the safety of MMR. MMR and all vaccines are rigorously tested and held to the highest standards of safety and efficacy. Vaccines have been essential in controlling disease and creating the healthy environment in which we live," commented Dr. Peter Hotez, Sabin Vaccine Institute Scientific Advisor.
