A Note from the Sabin Vaccine Institute
December 25, 2009
With great regret The Sabin Vaccine Institute announces the resignation of Kari Stoever.
Ms. Stoever has been with Sabin since 2004. She initially served as Program Manager for the Human Hookworm Vaccine Initiative. In 2006, she transitioned to help establish the Global Network for Neglected Tropical Diseases, the catalyst for bringing an integrated global approach to combating neglected tropical diseases that affect nearly one in six humans. As the Managing Director for the Global Network, she was instrumental in creating a team and infrastructure, identifying and convening disparate partners, and identifying and cultivating potential donors to secure substantial gifts to fund the Network’s efforts. Her vision, leadership, advocacy and tireless efforts, often at great personal sacrifice, have built the momentum which will enable the Global Network to move forward with its important work. At Sabin, she has made a difference in the lives of the world’s poorest and we are sure she will continue to do so.
We thank Ms. Stoever for her significant contributions to this cause and know that she will have great success in her future endeavors.
