The Sabin Vaccine Institute congratulates the All-Party Parliamentary Group on Malaria and Neglected Tropical Diseases (APPMG) on releasing the 3rd Annual Report for the UK Coalition against NTDs.

The Report highlights the UK’s successes in 2012, including the UK Department for International Development’s (DFID) pledge of £240 million over four years at the London Declaration on Neglected Tropical Diseases this past January. The UK remains a leader in the global fight to end NTDs, and with the recent selection of Prime Minister David Cameron as a co-chair of the UN High Level Panel for Post-2015, the government is well positioned to continue NTD commitment in a post-MDG agenda.

Baroness Hayman, member of the Sabin board, and Jeremy Lefroy, a long time friend and advocate for Sabin and chairman of the APPMG, are both featured in the Annual Report’s NTD Debate section.

In line with the APPMG Annual Report, our mission is for a world free of NTDs where children and families are able to grow, learn and become productive members of their communities.
