Dr. Ciro de Quadros appointed to Decade of Vaccines (DoV) Collaboration leadership

Today the Decade of Vaccines (DoV) Collaboration announced that Sabin executive vice president Dr. Ciro de Quadros was appointed to the important leadership position of co-chair of the DoV Steering Committee. In line with Sabin's own mission, the purpose of the DoV is to extend the full benefits of immunization to all people, regardless of where they live.

In an op-ed published Friday, Sabin president Peter Hotez, M.D., Ph.D., and his Baylor College of Medicine colleague, William Brinkley, Ph.D., applaud the dramatic gains Texas institutions have made to become leaders among the global scientific community. They cite the routinely high ranking of public and private Texas universities as well as a voter approved amendment to start the Cancer Prevention and Research Institute of Texas (CPRIT).
