Position Summary:

The Boost Network empowers immunization professionals across the globe to get answers, grow in their roles and raise their collective voices by enabling them to connect, learn and lead. As the Senior Director of Global Learning and Engagement you will be responsible for strategic oversight of core Boost program elements including measurement and evaluation, partnership engagement, core and initiative-specific programs and resource development.


Support the Team and Expand Partnerships

  • Oversee up to three direct reports
  • Manage partner relationships with external collaborators; continue to support existing and identify and build new partner relationships to expand Boost program impact and financial sustainability (e.g., World Health Organization and Gavi, the Vaccine Alliance)
  • Work closely with VP, Global Community Engagement and other senior management to manage donor relationships including regular reporting, identify and develop strategies and relationships for program growth, including new revenue models

Program Strategy and Management

  • Oversee strategy for continued membership engagement, growth and development across Boost and Boost adjacent networks, including the Vaccination Action Network and Insights Dialogue (
  • Responsible for project management across Boost programming, including annual work plans, budget development and oversight, grant deliverables and Board memos
  • Represent Sabin and promote its mission by delivering presentations and attending global health and immunization-themed events and meetings
  • Other related duties, as assigned

Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning

  • Oversee strategy and implementation of impact measurement
  • Oversee the implementation of Boost’s monitoring, evaluation and learning plan; this includes oversight and engagement with external consultants
  • Oversee and/or coordinate the collection, compilation and analysis of program activity data; develop, write and present comprehensive statistical and narrative program reports
  • Utilize monitoring, evaluation and learning tools to conduct regular assessments of program activities


  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field; Master’s degree in Public Health or other health related field preferred
  • 12+ years relevant experience; experience in LMIC’s
  • Familiarity with immunization landscape and stakeholders
  • Demonstrated skill in developing and managing project work plans and budgets, as well as stakeholder relationships
  • Effectively manage projects so problems are anticipated and solutions identified quickly
  • Grants management experience
  • Excellent communication and diplomacy skills (active listening, writing, speaking)
  • Strong capacity to manage others and work with diverse personalities, including supervising the work of colleagues outside of direct supervision
  • Strong attention to detail, ability to manage complex tasks, highly organized, flexible, dependable and able to prioritize competing demands to meet deadlines
  • Proven experience developing and managing partnerships with diverse stakeholders from varying sectors, including those which offer new or different expertise (.e.g., bilateral and multilateral donors and normative bodies, government officials, Boards of Trustees and executive leadership, etc.)
  • Listens carefully to feedback from staff and adapts plans/actions accordingly
  • Superior service orientation
  • Strong interpersonal skills; effective at working with others over geographical distance
  • Ability to travel with domestically and internationally, in line with COVID-19 protocols
