On September 20, 2010, more than 150 of the world’s leading thinkers and doers came together in New York for TEDxChange. Convened by Melinda French Gates on the 10th anniversary of the Millennium Development Goals (MDGs), TEDxChange explored what the future holds for health and development around the world. What changes have taken place in the last decade? What more needs be done to ensure the health and well-being of future generations?
An official satellite event, TEDxFoggyBottom, was held in Washington, DC at the headquarters of the Pan American Health Organization. Live transmission of the event in New York was broadcast in the main hall. A discussion on the possible impact vaccines and other preventative measures may have in achieving the MDG’s was led by Drs. Ciro de Quadros and Jon Andrus at the conclusion of the live transmission.
