The Sabin Vaccine Institute in partnership with the Brazilian Immunization Society and Santa Casa de São Paulo convened the Vaccine Information Session in São Paulo, Brazil on October 24-26, 2012. The three day meeting was organized for journalists currently reporting on Global Health and attracted 22 journalists from 9 countries in the Region of the Americas.
Sessions were designed to disseminate information regarding the life-saving potential of vaccines and their ability to prevent needless suffering of millions of people around the world. Journalists heard the most up to date information on vaccines and the process of delivery. An interactive session also addressed various issues the reporters have faced in their professional careers with the group brainstorming potential solutions.
