Vice President, CMC
Research & Development
Jennifer Raymond is the vice president of CMC at the Sabin Vaccine Institute. In this role, she directs a team focused on ensuring that Sabin’s vaccines are developed, manufactured, and tested consistently, safely, and in compliance with regulatory standards. The CMC (Chemistry, Manufacturing, and Controls) organization acts as the bridge between lab discovery and commercial production, handling formulation and process development, analytical method development and testing, and production.
Before joining Sabin in 2026, she worked in the pharmaceutical industry for more than 25 years, with a long focus on vaccines. She is a seasoned executive with experience leading technical operations, manufacturing, quality, and CMC organizations across the full product lifecycle — from early development through commercial launch. She has held senior leadership roles at both large pharmaceutical companies and innovative biotech firms, including GSK Vaccines, Novartis Vaccines, GreenLight Biosciences, and Icosavax, where she most recently served as Senior Vice President of Technical Operations. She brings deep expertise across multiple technology platforms and a collaborative, results-driven leadership style grounded in quality, compliance, and operational excellence.
Jennifer received her BSc in Chemical Engineering from the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia, PA.
